Cannot think of anything that requires the fusion MPT module and I'm not sure that anything that is not firewire will possibbly never need anything from the firewire stack appart from firewire2* adapter.

But don't get me wrong I was just reporting that as far as I know some things could possibly be never needed on a kirkwood based system

But then again you're right a module is just a module: what the hell if you're stuck with small space it's up to you to get rid of what you don't need. I guess that this applies also to the micro root system.
