Argh, it was working for some reason I don't know (maybe my custom
kernel), and a yesterday's reboot has shown that the uboot environment
was wrong, and reset.
After re-flashing everything, I get the "nominal" bad CRC with
fw_printenv.

A good guy has written some sheevaplug tools to work on uboot part in
flash from linux:
