From mozes at slackware.com Fri Apr 3 21:41:31 2009 From: mozes at slackware.com (Stuart Winter) Date: Fri, 3 Apr 2009 14:41:31 -0700 (PDT) Subject: [armedslack] Updates to armedslack-current Message-ID: Hi I've uploaded changes today for armedslack-current - mostly the addition of a mostly modular Kernel, and a generic initrd for the ARM versatile platform, as well as the most recent Slackware installer; plus many small install-time fixes with the 'tag' files. I'm almost ready to release ARMedslack 12.2 - the next important task is writing some documentation to install a system inside QEMU, and then advertise on the Slackware forum of linuxquestions.org, for some testing. Also, Patrick Volkerding has knighted ARMedslack as an official Slackware port, which I'm really happy about! I've also ordered a couple of Marvell SheevaPlug dev kits and I intend to get ARMedslack running on those. Once 12.2 is released, I aim to move to EABI - and maintain only security updates for ARMedslack 12.2 (currently uses Old ABI and will be incompatible with EABI). Thanks for reading!
